Virtual reality technology is now being used to help armed forces personnel master the art of parachute jumping. The Parachute Training School at RAF Brize Norton has opened a new Virtual Reality Parachute Trainer which uses the latest digital imagery to create a realistic virtual world to train service personnel. Parachute students are suspended by harnesses, wearing virtual reality goggles, to practice jumps in a range of realistic environments.
