New Pokémon Snap Playthrough 3: The Jungle of Belusylva Island
0We have snapped a photo of Meganium, our first Illumina Pokémon, and it is time to test out Fluffruits to get some good photos of Pokémon, and we meet some new friends, including a familiar character. Then it is time to move onto Founja Jungle on Belusylva Island, where we encounter Pokémon like Aipom, Beautifly, Liepard, and Quagsire.

After taking a photo of Meganium at the Illumina Spot, we get another tutorial, this time it is how to use Fluffruit, you can throw it and sometimes Pokémon will eat the Fluffruit, and some of them give you good photos, some can be 2 or 3 Star photos, and there are some where you have to hit the Pokémon with the Fluffruit. You also unlock LenTalk requests, where you get given sidequests to take a photo of a Pokémon doing certain poses or behaviours, like getting Torterra to yawn, you have to hit it with a Fluffruit, that is the 4 Star photo for Torterra.
One quest we do in the video is Shockingly Well-Done, what you have to do is throw a Fluffruit to where the pile of fruit is, and Emolga will come down and zap the Fluffruit with its electricity, this is the 4 Star photo for Emolga, when you complete a request, you get some rewards.
There are some other quests, one of them is at Florio Nature Park at night, you can throw a Fluffruit at Hoothoot to reveal its other foot.
After testing out a Fluffruit, we get a few scenes where we meet up with some new friends, well one of them isn't new, one of them is Todd, the protagonist of Pokémon Snap for the Nintendo 64, and the other is Phil, Todd's apprentice, who looks like one of those Anime boys, and he's even voiced by Erica Mendez. Interesting bit of trivia, in Japanese, Todd is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi, who voiced him in Pokémon Snap for Nintendo 64, but in English, he was voiced in Jimmy Zoppi, or Carter Cathcart, but in this game, he is voiced by Griffin Burns.
Then Professor Mirror gives us a breakdown on the survey, and we discover a new island called Belusylva Island, and the first area is Founja Jungle.
The following Pokémon you can find in Founja Jungle include Bounsweet, Aipom, Pikipek, Metapod, Beautifly, Slaking, Arbok, Wooper, Quagsire, Yanmega, Liepard, and Magikarp. I didn't encounter Wooper and Yanmega during this run, but in Level 2 of Founja Jungle, you can find Wooper more easily, and Yanmega is usually found where the first Quagsire is found. You can take a photo of the Ancient Ruins for your Photodex, so it is not just Pokémon, you can take photos of Ancient Ruins and Crystalblooms.
There is a LenTalk request called Making a Splash, you have to take a photo of a Quagsire jumping into the water, that is the 4 Star photo for it, and in the LenTalk request picture, you can see a Wooper alongside it in the photo, in Level 2 is where you can see that Wooper alongside Quagsire.
There are some Pokémon where you can get good photos with Fluffruit, like the Magikarp in the water where you can get the 3 Star photo for it, and you can throw Fluffruit into the hole in a tree to get a good photo of Pikipek, and if you are wondering how to get Slaking to turn over, this is at a later level on Founja Jungle in the daytime.
When you unlock Level 2 of Founja Jungle in the daytime, you can unlock the nighttime variant, I will do that in the next part.
