I bring in a team that has a bunch of Special Attackers, and this makes use of Whimsicott's Tailwind to give the team the advantage in most battles, and it is good to see my opponent using Swampert and Dragonite to lead the fight, well I have seen many players using Dragonite, but I rarely ever come across Swampert, or any of the Hoenn Starters, but it was a surprise to have the Hoenn Starters added in the Crown Tundra update.
I did bring back some Pokémon that were not used since my older online battles, one of them is Araquanid, who was not used since one of my earliest teams, and Duraludon was used in one of my Double Battle teams, and he does have some powerful moves like Flash Cannon and Draco Meteor. Whimsicott's main role is to set up Tailwind, and I gave her Fake Tears, as this team has a lot of Special Attackers, so I can have Whimsicott use Fake Tears to lower the opponent's Special Defense, and have my Special Attackers deal some huge damage. Araquanid is one of the few Physical Attackers on my team, and he has Liquidation for dealing damage, I went with Lunge for the Bug-type move, as that can lower the target's Attack, and that can help against Physical Attackers.
I test out Spectrier on a Double Battle team, and yes I am aware that Spectrier is banned to Ubers and is a Legendary Pokémon, but this Pokémon does see decent use in Double Battles, so I decided to use Spectrier on a Double Battle team. Spectrier has some very powerful moves, like Shadow Ball and Hyper Beam, Snarl is used for lowering the Special Attack of both targets, and Mud Shot is there for Max Quake when Dynamaxed, and with Grim Neigh, Spectrier's Special Attack gains a boost everytime it knocks out an opponent, this can make Spectrier a terrifying Pokémon to face off against in a battle.
This is a good team my opponent has, and I like how my opponent's team is half Kanto, half Hoenn, which I appreciate because Gen 3 is my favourite, and I like most of the Pokémon that were introduced in Gen 3, so it was at least good to see my opponent using Pokémon like Swampert and Blaziken, well I have seen a decent amount of players use Blaziken in my online battles, but I wasn't expecting my opponent to have Hurricane on Dragonite instead of Dual Wingbeat, because I don't see too many Dragonite using Special Attacks, most of which tend to be used as a Physical Attacker, and Extreme Speed is there for a priority move.
