Altair Breaker is a brand new Quest 2 game from the creators of Swords of Gargantua, an online VR RPG sword fighting game built to be played over and over again to achieve better loot and character progression. It's Quest 2 anime visuals and fun VR sword fighting mechanics hit you with a solid first impression but sadly the content on offer as of right now is a little too lacking for me to be able to recommend this experience. In it's current state the Altair Breaker Quest 2 gameplay loop involves loading into small arenas with upto 3 other players, killing the robot enemies within (usually around 8-10 of them) and then moving onto the next arena until you reach the boss stage. It's fun at first but in just 2 loops you'll have seen all arenas, enemy types and the one boss the game contains at launch...

In time Altair Breaker could be a great new VR sword fighting experience, but right now the lack of content, character customisation, level variation, enemy types and weapons means you'll quickly burn out on the experience and struggle to find reasons to run it multiple times. Fingers crossed the dev team has a whole slate of events and upgrades planned for the near future otherwise this new Quest 2 game could fall into obscurity very quickly.
