How many primogems can we expect in Version 4.5? Before we start counting, let me tell you that 4.5 will be a filler patch, which means there will not be any new area or major events, so the number of primogems in this patch will be similar to 4.3, which was also a filler patch. It was expected that we might get to see Dainsleif once again, but that's not gonna happen in 4.5.
Version 4.5 will be released on march 13th, and the servers will be down for a few hours just before the update is rolled out. As a compensation, all players will receive 600 primogems from hoyoverse.
Next up we have our favorite thing to do in genshin, more like only thing to do, which is daily commissions. You can get 60 Primogems per day from daily commissions, which adds up to 2,520 Primogems over the course of the update.
The main event of version 4.5, Mondstadt will be celebrating the windblume festival once again. I'm not sure if it's the windblume festival or something other festival, but we will get 1000 primogems from this event as usual, and a free four star polearm, which is neither too good nor too bad.
Other than the main event, there will be three other mini events each rewarding us with 420 primogems. Fayz event is getting a rerun again in 4.5, and the other two events are new. One of them is related to cats cafe in mondstadt, and you might get a new cat pet for your teapot. So the total number of primogems we can get from events is 2,260 including the main event.
Next up we have our only endgame content, the spiral abyss. Completing floors 9-11 of the Spiral Abyss can net you up to 600 Primogems per reset, and it resets three times during the update, for a total of 1,800 Primogems.
You can exchange Stardust for fates in the Paimon's Bargains shop. Around 375 Stardust is required for 5 Intertwined Fates, which is equivalent to 800 Primogems.
Chiori is the latest five star character who will be added to the playable roster in version 4.5, so you can receive 60 primogems for completing her story quest. Other than chiori, some other characters will also get their reruns. At present 7 characters are expected to rerun in 4.5 due to the regional banner system, but i will only count 4 characters because I'm still not sure. So 4 banners means 4 test runs, and you can receive 80 primogems from there.
Hoyoverse always releases some web events for players, around 3 to 5 web events, so you can get upto 200 primogems for completing the web events. Speaking of web events, Dancing beasts and soaring kites web event is now online, so you can do this to get 120 primogems.
And lastly, special program for version 4.6 will take place during this update, and hoyoverse will release 3 new redeem codes worth 300 primogems, so you can redeem the codes for some extra primos.
Now after adding these numbers, we can get around 8,620 primogems, which is equal to 53 wishes only. That's way too low compared to the number of banner we will get in 4.5. If hoyoverse is planning to increase the number of banners, they should also increase the ways to obtain primogems, because 53 wishes is not even enough to reach the soft pity, forget about getting a 5 star character.
