1,727Varka is one of the first characters that were mentioned in the early stages of the story but is still yet to make an appearance in Genshin Impact. He is the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt and is currently on an expedition with most of his subordinates.
There have been a ton of leaks in the past about his availability as a playable character, vision and other related stuff, but hoyoverse is yet to confirm anything. In this video, we will discuss everything we know about Varka & Emilie in the later part of the video. This will contain some old as well as new information, take everything with a grain of salt because these are still very early infos.
Two months ago, HutaoLover, a credible leaker within the community, shared some new rumors that contained details about Varka's potential element and character design. This was posted on Twitter on October 11th, so I'm pretty sure this wasn't about wriothesley, because mid sumeru, wriothesley was mistaken to be Varka. But this tweet has been deleted now, along with the account.
According to HutaoLover aka Tao, it seems that Varka looks like a young uncle, which could mean he is likely in his 30s or early 40s. Thus, it would be safe to assume that he will receive a model that looks slightly older than Zhongli whenever he is introduced into the game. It is speculated that Varka's hair is white, and his hairstyle is supposedly identical to Jing Yuan from Honkai Star Rail and Dante from Devil May Cry.
Tao had also commented "grass" under the Varka's post, suggesting that he might possess the Dendro vision. Assuming this info is true, this could make him the first character from Mondstadt with this element. Unfortunately, his release date is still unknown. According to some old info, he is expected to be released along with the Dandelion Sea region. On a related note, Razor confirmed in his voice-overs that Varka taught him how to fight using a Claymore, implying that the Grand Master might be a Claymore user himself, Although it has never been explicitly stated in Genshin Impact.
And now, a new art that has surfaced online, which bears striking similarities to past designs, but it's certainly worth looking at. Rumors suggest that Varka will make an appearance in version 4.8, and this time, it sounds more believable, perhaps because it feels long overdue. With just two regions left before reaching Celestia or khaenriah , Natlan will play a significant role. Given the ongoing war in Natlan, Varka's potential appearance to aid us seems plausible.
Additionally, it's worth noting that hoyoverse still hasn't released the Dornman port, which was rumored to be released in version 3.6 back in Sumeru.
Moving on to Emilie. Emilie is a renowned perfume designer in Fontaine. Her products are known to be so popular that people line up at dawn for a chance to purchase them. She has been referenced many times, but she is yet to make an appearance in the game.
Uncle 100 and AHQ, two credible leakers in the community, have revealed that Emilie will be in version 4.8. She is a five-star character, and her weapon is currently unknown. However, if I were to take a guess, she will most likely be a catalyst user given her occupation as a perfume designer, I could be wrong though. Her vision type is also unknown, and I don't have any idea; she could possess any vision.
Anyway, last week, a reliable source named Hxg Diluc stated that Emilie will be released in version 4.8 as a five-star character. Given that her release date has never changed ever since version 3.8, this information can be considered reliable.
Version 4.8 is expected to be released on july 18th this year, so we will have to wait for a few more months for some credible information.
