Need for Speed Heat is being released this week and just like in NFS Payback there are a bunch of collectibles and activities on the map. Here you can see where to find all 45 speedtraps in Palm City and how to get 3 stars at them, which unlocks the exclusive McLaren 600LT and also works towards a bunch of trophies/achievements and towards unlocking the Ferrari 488 Pista.

The speedtraps are sorted by region (in the same order as in the progression menu ingame), so that's how you know in which part of the map to look for them. The names and borders of the regions are visible on the map.

I was able to get 3 stars at all 45 speedtraps with the Corvette Grand Sport at car level 392, which you can reach by installing the best available parts at rep level 43. No high heat parts were used.

However, a few of the speedtraps very were tough with this car (starting at Fort Callahan), so I would recommend using a better one. I heard that the Porsche 911 RSR is one of the best cars again for example, just like in the last two games, so that would probably be a good pick.

Of course you can also try to use the exact same car that I did but then you might fail if you are not a very skilled player and it would be your own fault for being too stubborn to follow my advice, so don't complain to me about it if that's how you choose to do it. :P

Also note that in the video I am simply showing my first successful attempt at each speedtrap and a lot of them were my first 3 star attempts at them overall, so I am not always using the best possible path. A few of the traps might be easier when approached from the other side, from a different angle or from further away, so use your own brain as well and don't just blindly follow exactly what I am doing for every single trap. In the video I am just showing one possible way to do each trap. Nothing less but also nothing more. :)

Another thing that might help in some situations is using a different gearbox. For example my Corvette had trouble with speedtraps where the target speed was right after a gear change. With a different gearbox those might be easier, so give that a try if you are struggling with that type of speedtrap.

Note that the speeds seem to be slightly rounded. At "Downhill Is Better" I got a speed of 354.99 but it was enough to beat the 3 star target of 355. This was also the hardest trap for me and I needed to switch my nitrous to beat it (although getting a gearbox with 5 gears might have been the better option).

Hopefully this guide will help some people find all of the speedtraps and getting 3 stars at them. :)
