The Crew 2 Blazing Shots - Bugatti Veyron, Citroën GT and Porsche Carrera GT tested
The Blazing Shots update for The Crew 2 has been released and it added 3 new hypercars to the game with the Bugatti Veyron, the Citroën GT and the Porsche Carrera GT. Here you can see how they match up against each other and against the Lamborghini Egoista on Maine Highlands East.
Timeline:
0:00 Maine Highlands East with Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse
3:26 Maine Highlands East with Citroën GT
6:52 Maine Highlands East with Porsche Carrera GT
10:16 Maine Highlands East with Lamborghini Egoista
13:39 Direct Comparison
16:58 Event Leaderboard
The Bugatti Veyron can be bought individually for 1.7 million bucks and the Citroën and Carrera GT can be bought in a bundle for 2.5 million bucks, which also includes the Ferrari 599XX Evo touring car.
I tested all 3 cars fully upgraded on Maine Highlands East. In the past I already compared the Divo and the Chiron here and managed to get a 2:59 with both. The new cars from today all did even better, with a 2:56 from the Veyron and the Citroën and a 2:54 from the Carrera GT, so all 3 new hypercars are very good cars. I also did a run with the Egoista for comparison, which ended up being a 2:53.
The 3 new cars all have better cornering but they just can't match the sheer power of the Egoista especially with nitrous, so the Egoista still comes out slightly ahead but all of the new cars are pretty close to it. Note that I did some small errors with the Veyron and the Citroën, so they would probably both hit at least a 2:55 as well with the same quality of run as the others.
The Veyron and the Citroën both have 7 gears, while the Carrera GT only has 6, which I think gives the Carrera GT an advantage on this track. Having 7 gears can be a bit annoying here because in various sections you are just fast enough to be at the beginning of 7th gear, where you don't have a lot of power, especially for turns.
Note that a bunch of the existing hypercars have been updated as well and according to Gforce the Veneno is extremely good now for example, as you can also see from his time on the leaderboard here, so definitely give the updated cars a try as well if you are looking for a new hypercar to drive.
Various cars from other disciplines have also been updated and there are already reports of the Gallardo being OP for Touring Car now and the SLS being competitive for Street Race.
Unfortunately there are just too many things for me to do right now with NFS Heat, the TC2 update and on Friday even the new Pokemon game as well, so it's impossible for me to make videos about all the interesting things in both Heat and TC2 but feel free to let me know if there are things that you are particularly interested in and I will see if I can prioritize them.
