This is a portion that leads to ending “B”. I didn’t include the entirety of it because it’s almost identical to ending “A” save for the fact that it’s told from 9S’ perspective, rather than 2B’s. This sequence shows 9S hacking into the network while 2B was busy battling Eve in the City Ruins sinkhole. Pod 153 warns 9S that his prolonged exposure to the network would corrupt his self-consciousness and recommends immediate evacuation. He ignores Pod 153’s warning wanting to stay in a little longer to remove Eve’s object control function. Inevitably, this leads to the network corruption of 9S’ self-consciousness. Therein lies the explanation for one of the two reasons 2B has to kill 9S during the first ending.

We also witness a scene between Adam and Eve stored in Eve’s memories.
