You would hope this would be the Mario All-stars treatment for Ninja Gaiden but these games are of depressing quality here. They not only look worse but sound worse, some effects like the dark stage in Ninja Gaiden II were just completely removed, as well as the parallax scrolling so the wind section in Ninja Gaiden III doesn't even make sense from a visual standpoint. I don't know if any of these issues were because of the emulator or controller I was using, but I encountered so many... inputs were eaten constantly, and the most egregious thing was me getting stuck at (1:18:33), dying and still being stuck so I had to reset... a hardlock! WTF! I GUESS it's still better than Hudson Soft's Ninja Gaiden "remake" for PC Engine, but that's likely because Tecmo had the source code/assets, seems like Hudson had to make theirs from scratch. I GUESS this is still fun... but wow, this should not have had these issues. I mean this entry essentially killed the series I'm pretty sure, nothing else came out from it for almost 10 years. If these legitimately got the Mario All-Stars treatment, this would hands down be my favorite Super Nintendo game. Sadly, it's just disappointing. :(
