Here is my and I Indica I's 2-man clear of the 390 Crota's End raid without using guns. Note: Indic4 is playing on an alternate account (War Patrol) because of a lack of required gear on his own account.

We completed the full raid with the same exact two classes/sublclasses. We used one Gunslinger Hunter and one Sunsinger Warlock for each section.

The abyss, bridge, thrallway, and deathsinger sections are pretty straightforward. However, Crota himself was much more complicated than expected. For this reason, I will give a detailed breakdown of the fight strategy used in the video.

If you are interested in JUST the Crota fight, skip to 24:53. However, I recommend watching the entire run :)

Crota Strategy:

To clear the two side rooms after the glass breaks, the Warlock spams Sunbreaker solar grenades; this also creates orbs for later for the Hunter. After leaving the room, we trade off the chalice and wait for the Swordbearer to spawn. He is spammed with one solar grenade, 2 tripmines (the Hunter is wearing the exotic tripmine gloves), and 2 throwing knives. Then he is melee'd to death. The Hunter retreats into the "boomer tower," switches to Nighthawk, and jumps up and down to grab the attention of the right side boomer knights. The Warlock runs around and melees enemies to gather the second grenade charge back. This is done while wearing gloves with the perk that give increased grenade energy on melee hits.

Since Sunbreaker gloves allow the Warlock to have double solars with viking funeral/touch of flame, this is actually enough to down 390 Crota. After grabbing the sword, the Warlock jumps to the rock and tosses 2 solar grenades with very specific timing. Thanks to Esoterickk1 for suggesting a slight delay between the two solars. This allows a burn to remain slightly longer and thus keeping Crota down long enough. The sword combo used on sword one was RT, RB, RT, RB, RT. This is faster than four RT's.

Both players swap the chalice, the Hunter runs outside, and he Nighthawks the oversoul that spawned. He switches his gear back to double tripmines, melees enemies for super, and grabs swordbearer's attention. We then waited for Crota to do a full 2 rotations before taking him down again. This is because there just isn't quite enough time for both players to gather super before the next middle rotation. We need both supers because the Nighthawk downs the oversoul and the Warlock super kills the right side ogre.

After 2 full rotations, swordbearer is killed again, and it's pretty much identical to sword one except for one key thing. This time the Warlock picks up the sword earlier to gather a super. The entire raid, we never wanted to use the relics for anything other than what it's required for (Gatekeepers on bride, Crota during the Crota fight). So this made the second sword the most difficult one, as I had to time it perfectly with the super. The hit combo for the second sword was RT, RB, RT, RT, Super.

After that, the Warlock uses his super on the right side ogre, the Hunter Nighthawks the oversoul, then gathers the inside orbs and Nighthawks the left side ogre. Both players collect each other's orbs and farm super for the final sword.

Once again, 2 more full rotations are allowed in order to gather both supers. This time, however, the swordbearer is killed outside the boomer tower. This part is tricky for the Warlock as he must almost sacrifice himself to do so. This is done by letting the swordbearer swipe at the Warlock while simultaneously tossing a solar grenade at his feet. The Warlock must QUICKLY farm his second grenade back, as only 30 seconds pass before the sword disappears. He then jumps on the rock FIRST, tosses 2 solar grenades, jumps down and grabs the sword, jumps up to Crota, and executes another RT, RB, RT, RB, RT combo. As the Warlock retreats to the rock, the Hunter meets him there. Radiance is activated and three more solar grenades are tossed at Crota. When Crota is down, the Hunter applies additional damage with grenades/knives to help keep him down. The final hits are applied and BOOM! Dead!

So Why Was Crota So Difficult???

1) Strategy development. We tried many different strats. We changed our strats often. What you see here is the final, fully developed working strategy.
2) Swordbearer. Pain in the ass. He wouldn't always stand in the solar grenades or tripmines. He's extremely difficult to take down with melees alone.
3) The fucking sword disappearing. This one pissed us off the most. We had multiple GOD-LIKE runs ruined on the FINAL SWORD because it would just fucking disappear on the ground after a few seconds.
4) Crota. He had to stay in the solar grenades for this strat to work. So many times he would strafe out of the grenades at the last second.

That's about it! Hope this was informative and interesting to watch. It sure was a pain lol.

Much love!
