No Man's Sky | What Will the Start and First Few in Game Moments Be Like? | Discussion FAQ Gameplay
268Today we're talking about the start of the game, No Man's Sky when you very first begin the game and how those first few moments in the game will go. Founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, has painted a rather mysterious picture for us as to how you will begin the game. Not that he hasn't answered the question, but he's essentially said that there will be no helpful tutorial or action packed cut scene that paints the picture. That's because part of the mystery of who we are in the game and what we're doing is how we build our own story. There's no guarantee that we are even "Human" in the game in typical terms, and it appears that Earth as we know it does not exist within this Universe that Sean has created. That's not a bad thing however, as there still appears to be plenty to do, see, explore, trade, mine, buy, and upgrade. The open world of No Man's Sky is clearly trying to set a new standard for the potential size of an open world, and I certainly don't mind that Hello Games is proverbially "shooting for the stars".
