OK It's later. Basically Golbez uses Baron's army to invade Fabul and steal the Crystal of Air. He also seems to have Kain (aka Toast) under some kind of mind control spell.
After the Crystal is stolen, the King of Fabul grants our heroes a ship, so we can travel... somewhere? But our voyage is interrupted by a giant see creature named Leviatan. Rydia (aka Maths) is thrown overboard, and Yang (aka Mario) dives into the water to rescue her. Ultimately, the ship is capsized, and everyone becomes separated.
When Cecil (aka Snoop) regains consciousness on the shore, he wanders to a mysterious village. Could this be Mysidia?
