NOOB FRIENDLY GUIDE: How to defeat the Bloodhound Knight (Easy way) | Elden Ring Walkthrough
41In this video, I'm going to give you a noob-friendly strategy so you can defeat the Bloodhound Knight Darriwil in Elden Ring. This was done with the Samurai Class, but I think suits probably any class with a couple of details that I'll explain.

To have an easy time with this boss we need the following:
Chain Armor Set from the vendor in the Church of Elleh for good protection against this boss. If you need an easy way to farm runes in this region, try my quick guide for getting 20,000 runes in an hour.
The second important point is, you need to get a "partisan", and the only guy that has this item in this area is the fancy general that walks around in the camp on the Gatefront Ruins.
The third crucial point is getting the Determination Ash of War. This one is located just as you hit the bridge west of Limgrave where there is a group of bandits and a Gengis Khan clone. You'll see a tiny fella rolling a sphere, chase and kill him to get the Ash of War.
The fourth and final step is getting one of these Brass Shields that are a random drop from the soldier enemies you can find in the Gatefront ruins camp or anywhere along the brick road in Limgrave. Why this one in particular? Well, it has some great stats to withstand multiple hits without you taking damage.
With all that set, let's move on with the fight, which is actually easier than you would imagine, for real.
If you want to make things more complicated for you, of course, you can try and dodge every single time he attacks or even go full Sekiro and try to parry his attacks to leave him vulnerable, but the truth is I am too slow and potato to time this right so I went for another strategy.
Instead, here is the plan, we are going to Guard Counter until he is dead. That's it, pretty simple. Hold your shield so you can block any incoming attack, and immediately after press the Guard Counter button to damage him. Of course every now and then you'll have to dodge some of his attacks like this one where he does a ninja jump. But most of them can be just blocked and then countered. Just keep an eye on the red bar you'll see on top of the Boss' to know when you need to take some distance or dodge to avoid that bar being full and trigger the blood loss effect. You don't want that.
You can spice things up with the Determination Ash of war for extra damage, but it is not that essential. The partisan will give you a nice attack range for that Guard Counter and seriously this will take just a couple of tries once you get used to it.
If the luck is on your side and you prove your potato skills, you'll get the Bloodhound's Fang and 1900 runes.
