Nuclear Bike 2 takes you back on the arduous tracks again for more challenging quests. Your main goal in this driving game is to control or maneuver your motorbike along with its rider. You need to reach the finish line as quickly as you can and try to beat the timer. This will determine how much points you can receive after each level. There are also valuables that you can collect on the obstacles courses. Collect the B's so you can add extra points to your overall score. Collect the N's to fill your nitro gauge that can be used for quick speed boosts.

There's something awesomely cool about watching a motorbike do all sorts of crazy stunts. Not least among the reasons is that we all know, at least on some level or the other, that it's extremely dangerous. You're careening about at high speed while protected only by a thin layer of padding and a helmet that'll crumple when faced with the forces seen in most crashes. Still, that's not to say that Nuclear Bike 2 is a bad game. Instead, it's exactly because of those reasons that it's as exciting as it is.

Side-scrolling stunt racers like these are rather common. That doesn't mean it's bad though, as they can indeed be fun. Further, as most of those games can be short, it's always good fun to enjoy a new one. What's better though, is that Nuclear Bike 2 plays a lot better than most of those games, making for a better experience all in all.

If nothing else, the game certainly looks great. You've got all sorts of animations in place on the main character that make him come alive. There aren't really that many animations amongst the scenery, but that's fine as the backgrounds are rather well-drawn and detailed enough to not need any animations. Further, it's subtle enough to not be distracting to your focus as you do the stunts, but it's pretty enough to significantly add to the overall fun-factor and aesthetic of the game.

As with other side-scrolling racers, the controls are fairly simple. Up and down will move you forwards and backwards (or accelerate and decelerate if you like). The left and right keys will lean the biker's body back and forth allowing you to angle your bike just right to do whatever stunts you need to do. And as usual, you've got your nitrous. It'll boost you up and allow you to do even more spectacular stunts than you'd normally be able to do. Hit a ramp just right, and you'll be sent skywards.

For the most part, the tracks are simple enough. You've got to get from point A to point B while racking up as many points as you can and finishing as quickly as possible. The faster you do it, the better. On the other hand, the more stunts you perform (and the more outrageous they are) the better. So be sure to strike a careful balance between finishing quickly and finishing well.

All in all, Nuclear Bike 2 is a worthy sequel to the previous Nuclear Bike. What's more, it adds a great deal to the original game and makes for some great fun, go on and give it a shot!
