Here we have the bosses you face off with to unlock the secret job classes in the game... and inventor just so all the bases are covered.

Unlike Octopath Traveler 1 where all the secret Job classes is explicitly used by a superboss you face to unlock it.
Now things are a bit different where instead you have to find the rusty weapons around the world for the Armaster.
The NPC that gives you Arcanist is blocked off by a giant sea monster of a boss.
Then Conjurer has you going through an optional dungeon that's a miniboss rush before having the only secret boss that directly guards their secret job class.

Some may not be a fan of the change and prefer having 4 powerful secret bosses to fight. I get that but I honestly vastly prefer being able to actually use these secret classes because by the time you beat Balogar and WInnehild in Octopath Traveler 1 there wasn't anything left to fight other than Galdera and MAYBE the Managarmr. Here you can reasonably get 3 of the job classes throughout the story and still have a fairly challenging secret boss for the last, and arguably most busted. Job class. That being said I probably would've given Hinoekagura another 50k HP cause you never really have to deal with her demon form for more than a minute.
