Octopath Traveler II: Apply inside.
0Okay the plan is to explore around the world and find the secondary job guilds before I do anything else... but I am also a stubborn person who wants to get revenge, in games, asap so I try to beat down the giant sandworm... and after a bit of trial and error and finding a good capture in the cave... success and pick up a rusty axe
As a bit of a reward to myself for the hard fight we hit up the Altar of the Lady of Grace found in Northern Wellgroove Trail to get an Ex skill for Agnea... which is pretty useful in the future.
Then heading south again we reach a town called Sai that is home of the Warrior's guild. After picking up a license we then find the Altar of the Thunderblade and pick up Hikari's ultimate stance ex skill which is... alright.
Next we explore that "fancy icon" and it tells us to come back alone... so, we ignore that and head east and find a grape farmer and give him the knowledge we got in an earlier town to help grow grapes. Which means free grapes for us here in the future.
Then we enter a town called Conning Creek and after exploring a bit find the Apothecary's Guild to get another secondary job.
A bit of fast traveling later and moving up north we find a cave that... we'll just come back to later, don't want another sandworm scenario just yet. I do get lucky after leaving it and capture a cultured cait... oh and find the Merchant's guild. Only need money to get this job and I have a bit saved up so snag two licenses.
Feeling a bit daring/reckless I head into a danger level 45 area. Picking our battles and running when possible I end up in the nearby town and pick a fight with a totally respectable person just during their job and are rewarded greatly with a whole new job class and that rusty axe turned into a pretty good weapon... I really wasn't expecting this and I'm glad my stubbornness has been rewarded.
And I'm not done yet as I continue to explore the other side of the world finally. Heading to Winterbloom to get the scholars ex skill... but end up finding a woman needed help with removing a rock. Can either get a pickaxe... which I find from some npc in the future, I think in oresrush, not sure... or just bring a whole group of 8 characters to pull out the rusty sword.
And to finally wrap things up, we head to the Altar of the Scholarking with Osvald in tow to get his teaching skill, derust the sword, and turn in some items to the inventor to get a new skill for that class.
