The officer in charge of Camp Bastion has been re-living a mission more than 20 years ago that almost cost him his life.

In 1991, Group Captain Dave Waddington was at the controls of an RAF Tornado when he was shot down over Iraq.

In an exclusive interview with Forces News, he details the extraordinary lengths he went to in a bid to both survive and evade capture
