The Mounted Regiment of the Household Cavalry has swapped its ceremonial duties, for a day on the beach. Thirty horses and their riders took to the Norfolk sands for their annual bareback ride into the waves. It gives the Regiment a chance to regroup and recover, following an extraordinary year of Royal duties, which has included the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and rehearsals for the Olympics.
