This was almost a world-record Sonic 2 speed run... until it wasn't. :(

There are still a number of things to be improved about this run even disregarding the obvious at the end; the Metropolis 2 zip took me two attempts, CP2 and AR1 were both bad levels, and a couple of other levels had losses of a second or two. On the other hand, I hit the Metro 3 zip first go, a complete first for me.

How I came up with the time of 16:50: The sum total of all the level times up to Wing Fortress is 16:00. Death Egg takes :50 every time with this strategy. Ergo, 16:50.

Back to the drawing board...
