Recorded on 10-13-23. A launch title for the Nintendo Gamecube. This was Luigi's first game as the leading man. Luigi has apparently won himself a mansion,in a contest he never entered. Mario went ahead to check it out,but he never returned. Luigi goes to investigate,and finds that this mansion of his is haunted by ghosts! He runs into a person named Professor E. Gadd,who claims that this mansion only appeared a couple days ago. The Professor arms Luigi with his latest invention: The Poltergust 3000! This gadget allows Luigi to suck up any ghosts that come after him,after stunning them with his flashlight. We also have the Game Boy Horror,which serves as a Map,inventory screen,and is used to examine objects. In Area 1,we deal with some normal Ghosts and collect a couple Keys. Then,we start taking on the Portrait Ghosts. These guys don't reveal their weak point as easily,so look for clues. We captured the Portrait Ghosts Neville and Lydia,and fought our first Boss: Chauncey. Draining a Portrait Ghost of 90 HP in one go nets you it's Big Pearl,which is how you get gold portraits for them. For Bosses,instead it's just based on how much HP Luigi has left once it's defeated.
