Omi Plays Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Part 25
1Taking on the Super Boss of Super Mario RPG,Culex! He can be found in Monstro Town. To unlock his room,you need to get a Shiny Stone from a little girl NPC in Moleville. She wants to trade it for Fireworks,which costs 500 Coins from a house nearby. Culex is essentially a Final Fantasy character,and even has the Boss theme from Final Fantasy 4. It's accompanied by 4 elemental Crystals,which use various attacks according to their color. Culex himself can use a few different attacks,including Shredder,Dark Star,and Meteor Blast. Shredder is a unique attack to Culex; it does no damage,but removes all Buffs on your party! Dark Star is one of the strongest attacks in the game,but thankfully it's single target. Culex himself has about 4,000 HP,with the Crystals having varying HP amounts. Thankfully I don't think he can resummon the Crystals once they're taken out,so it makes it easier to focus on Culex afterwards. Defeat him and you'll get the mighty Quartz Charm! This awesome accessory boosts attack by 50%,and halves damage taken by 50% too!
