Eine Stunde Gameplay von "Odin Sphere", einem Action-Rollenspiel entwickelt von Vanillaware und veröffentlicht von Atlus (JP & NA) / Square Enix (EU) im Jahre 2007 (JP & NA) / 2008 (EU) für die Playstation 2.
Im Spiel übernimmt man die Rolle der jungen Prinzessin Gwyndolyn, die nach dem Tod ihrer älteren Schwester auf dem Schlachtfeld in deren Fußstapfen treten und einen Krieg gegen Mächte fortführen muss, hinter denen mehr steckt, als es zuerst den Anschein hat.
Auch wenn das Spiel seinerzeit gut ankam so war es doch eine Geschichte die beinahe das Aus für die damals noch relativ junge Firma Vanillaware bedeutet hätte, so war man während der Entwicklung von "Odin Sphere" gezwungen, einen Kredit aufzunehmen um die Firma über Wasser zu halten und die nächsten Projekte starten zu können.
Da jedoch alle Projekte letzten Endes gut ankamen konnte man sich aus diesem Loch retten und Vanillaware gilt seither als einer der besten und zuverlässigsten so wie heutzutage erfahrensten Entwickler für Spiele mit einem gewissen Japano-Flair und einer ganz bestimmten Art von Grafik auf dem Markt.
One Hour Of "Odin Sphere", an action role playing game developed by Vanillaware and published by Atlus (JP & NA) / Square Enix (EU) in 2007 (JP & NA) / 2008 (EU) for the Playstation 2.
In the game, the player assumes the role of the young princess Gwyndolyn, who after the death of her older sister on the battlefield has to take up her mantle and continue a war against forces who have more secrets to uncover than it seems at first glance.
Though the game was received well it is backed by a story that almost meant the end for the back then still young developer Vanillaware, since they had to borrow a massive loan during the development of "Odin Sphere" to be able to develop and fund this and their next projects and to keep the company alive.
But since in the end all projects had been a success on the market the loand could be fully paid back and Vanillaware ever since is known as one of the best and most reliable developers for games with a certain japan flair and a very unique style of graphics to them.
