I'm gonna say this to begin with, don't get distracted by my desktop then, will you? I'm neutral about it, since it's been around five years I've used that on all the PC's I've used. I'm too used to it. And, IT COULD BE WORSE. THEN TO THE POINT, WHICH IS BELOW THERE:
Minecraft has begun to do this recently, it worked fine before. All this "do this one specific thing to get a game to even BOOT" sucks ass. Even emulators are a hassle but it's a one time thing, once you find all settings you're good to go, but... PC games...
NOTE: I like consoles (I own PS1 and PS2 and that's it, but still), they have this plug and play thing pretty much, connect it to a TV, put the cartridge or disc in them, whichever is applicable, boot the console, YOU MAY NEED TO WAIT, BUT IT STARTS WITH NO HASSLE, DAMNIT! Though I've heard that with PS3 era consoles have started to go to the crap zone too, so. Let's just agree everything sucks and keep that mindset, so any good thing feels heaven-like, OK?

AND TO WHOEVER GETS TO RANT MODE BECAUSE I HAVE WINDOWS XP: IT STILL DOES WHAT I NEED IT TO DO. EVEN IF IT REQUIRES SOME SMALL TWEAKING AND MORE RESEARCH TO FIND STUFF FOR SOMETHING. SO FAR THE OS CHANGE WON'T HAPPEN YET.
