More of the Gold mine. This is where your partner characters start coming into play, namely Ekei and Magoichi. Sometimes you'll run into monster areas and partners with high affection points will show up to help. After clearing this room with Magoichi,a man appears searching for his daughter, and Ekei eagerly agrees to help him. The next room is a dead end with another dragon statue that gives you a new weapon, the Hyoujin-Yari Spear. It's an ice weapon, and just what we need to clear the magic ice barrier in another section of the mine. You'll have to use the Charity Orb to open a door next to a save mirror. BOSS FIGHT: Ginghamphatts. He can do various attacks with that pickax of his,so try to keep your distance when he attacks. He can also decide to jump around constantly,so try not to be under him. After a bit,one of your buddies will show up to help. The magic attack of the Buraitou works well against him. When he dies, you'll get a bunch of souls and gold. Continue on and you'll find an emaciated old man. Apparently the demons were forcing humans to mine gold for them, and the majority of them died of exhaustion. You'll return to town, and the man will give you the key to opening the blocked hole in the gold mine, the Red Ring. Looks like a giant lifesaver to me. We also meet our 3rd partner character here,Kotaro.
