Onion Assault is a 2D Platformer, that adapted the Mechanic from Super Mario Bros. 2 (which was a reskin of Doki Doki Panic), where you can stand on an enemies head and the enemy act like a moving platform. But you can also Lift the Enemy and throw them around.
There are also Plants that you can plug from the ground and in the most cases, you pick up a headsized Onion, that you can throw as well.

Onion Assault comes in an minimalistic 2,5D that serves it's purpose but kinda lacks the charme of 2D Sprites. Even so, everything is clearly identifyable, so you don't get lost in too many details.
I find the Game quite difficult. Even in the first zone, you have to master tight platforming. There is also a Life System, but a Game Over just means, that you have to start over the last level you played.
So the punishment is rather low.

But difficult Games can be fun too, I'm sure you have a few examples in your head, that does fit the role.
