HYPERVIOLENT feels like Doom 3 but got the Visuals and a Inventory Sytems like System Shock. But it doesn't have these RPG elements.
I know Doom 3 doesn't have that good reputation, but that's mostly because it doesn't feel like a Doom Game, but something different.
But it's still a great shooter with a dark atmosphere.
Don't let the Name Hyperviolent scare you. It's all in a Pixelated Retro Look, so there are some gruesome scenes, but they aren't too graphical, since you can't make too much out of it.

The story plays right away at the start of the Video, but also gets more in Detail through all these logs (which i probably would've read, if i wouldn't happen to record. But on a quick look, i can see that it goes more in detail about the things that happened there.
Overall you go through small corridors of a mining colony. So there are a lot of small hallways with Zombielike humanoids. But not all rely on hitting you with their rotting arms, many of them use weaponry. When you killed them, you can look if they still got some items on them. Maybe healing items or weapons and their ammunition. Ammo is kinda scarce here, so you need to switch your weapons to use their type of ammo.
So there is a bit of resource management required.
