Hackusations start at 1:48.

Hackusations, true or false and real or fake, are never OK, as they undermine the existence and reputation of otherwise perfectly legitimate pro players.

A player should think thrice and reconsider his decision before accusing someone hacking. Whoever hackuses is a hypocrite, even with a solid and impartial proof, because players often think they are better than truly are. They can't understand someone being that much better so they cry hacks.

Hitting their "hitboxes" when they're behind cover or flying ahead of player's aim at high ping is how unlag hitscan works. Quake 3 has an Unlagged mod that works very similar to this. The unlagged hitscan effects are more pronounced on high ping players. This scenario shows the full effect of unlag hitscan for a high ping player.

When unlag hitscan is engaged, if you aim at the point exactly the same point the player is moving or flying, you won't miss a shot, and you don't have to even lead your shot to frag him. When this shot is recorded and played back as a demo, all players are client-synchronised. Thus, you would see and think a hit would miss when it's actually not the case. When playing a demo, a hitscan appears immediately on the moment the muzzle flashes on the weapon (instant), which would not have been possible in real multiplayer matches (unless you host a LAN party with your friends).

The only way to distinguish between perfectly legitimate pro players and flagrant sophisticated aimbotters is through sophisticated tools of cheat detection, through heuristics to detect possible cheats when scanning the computer's memory and processes. An incident report is created whenever an anomaly is detected, it is then compared to a database of banned applications and/or analyzed by the server owner. He may inspect the code and run it on their own copies of the game. If the code is confirmed as a new cheat, he may add it to the database of cheat codes. The cheat code in memory and processes will never be there as a legitimate pro player even when you play like a sophisticated aimbotter.
