Two Ace Combat games, in two different universes, are set in 2019. We'll be following the events of both as they happen, to the day and hour (UTC).

22 years ago, Ace Combat 2 shipped with Dark Star, a mission where a massive thunderstorm all but knocked out your radar, which only worked above the clouds. We've come a long way since, and the current technology allows for the drop-dead gorgeous scenery of a realistic thunderstorm ravaging the Stone Forest-inspired karst cliffs, but the dreams and ideas have been there all along. And you simply can't go wrong with abject weather as a backdrop in an action film/game.

I've been sticking with older aircraft for the Spare arc of this playthrough, and SuperOstrich's 60's-inspired metallic skin was perfect for it - the next best thing to flexing on Mihaly with an actual Mirage III. Thanks for the Spare version, too!
