Lady of the Lake: Morgan Test Flight at Stonehenge - Ace Combat 7
Finally, my favorite of the ADF line is here - but how does it perform?
I really do like the Morgan. A retrofuturistic beauty, seamlessly blending Strangereal's crazy technology with a fuselage that could have been made in the 80s - neither too grounded nor too farfetched. But the product of Belka's tinkering, a superweapon in itself and with a history of protecting others, could only find a second home at a massive structure like Stonehenge.
But my tastes aside, how is it? Well, as expected, much like its younger brothers, the FALKEN and Raven, but slightly worse and with limited post-stall, which is fair. Its weapons are a more contentious point. The TLS is much like those already in the game - not the slightly improved FALKEN one, and as such not much to write home about.
The MPBM is its flashiest addition, and... sadly, it seems to be more flash than substance. Yeah, as shown it can wipe clusters with ease, but its range is quite short, and as a single missile with a long reload it simply lacks the amount of firepower other A2G weapons can throw around. It compensates for that with its air-to-air capability, as essentially a giant SASM, but as you can see here, its utility is limited. Even the dronel-slaying niche it should have is lacking. All in all, I'm not impressed.
It does have another, more subdued tool in the IEWS - but we'll talk about that later.
