Outcast – Second Contact is the complete remake of the cult title which sparked the open world, action-adventure genre. Take off on an exploration of Adelpha, an alien world as beautiful as it is dangerous, where your heroic journey places the fate of two worlds in your hands.

The reason i copied that text is, that i never played the original Outcast. I knew it existed and that it was a fan favorite, but not a commercial success (i think). So this remake is a loveletter to the original game, since it's a remake of the original. The Intro sequence sounds like a first dip into this world, even though the characters have a story even before these events.

I honestly enjoyed playing the part, but i had no idea where to go, since i'm used to quest markers. Funny is, that i finished three quest goals even before a npc asked me about that. The first one you can see in the Tutorial mission (the Guardien Trials), where i already picked everything, that you can find underwater.
I played the game a bit further, than i show here, but after i did (a tactical) retreat from the masses of enemies, i walked into the wrong direction, since all in this area looks pretty similar.
What i like is, the conversations with the aliens, that use words, that can't be translated directly and needs to be described by your AI and also that you use (some outdated) phrases, that they can't understand.The both areas i visited so far are kinda looking like they could've been on earth, except for the animals and inhabitants, but thas okay.
