Source of Madness is a sidescrolling platformer with a inventory system like Diablo. Instead of having your regular attacks, you find magic rings that grant you an attack according to the ring. It's also leveled, so that you get more powerful versions of these attacks later on.
The game is somewhat weird, since the monsters move around like the dude from QWOP, they have different limbs attached and flailing them around in a weird way.

The graphics are AI made, which is an interesting take. The results are off the regular type when it comes to the monsters and the surroundings.
Defeating those monsters causing them to drop blood as a currency, if you fail in your run, you keep the blood and can spend it on a skill tree, which unlocks new items and some passive bonuses. This makes it easier on your new runs.
