Outrun Online Arcade (PS3) Vs Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast (PC)

Another split-screen comparison. This time it's Outrun Online Arcade on the PS3 vesus Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast on the PC.
Again, as I mentioned in my Daytona USA video, I can't do PS3 video capture in HD, so the PS3 version is looking a bit grainer and more low-resy than it should do. Also, for some odd reason playing the game through my RGB cable instead of my usual HDMI output seemed to have a slightly weird effect on the game's aspect ratio with a couple of vertical black bars appearing either side of the screen (which I've masked out here) which aren't normally there. The game's still in widescreen, but just not as widescreen as it should be. Both versions look great in HD and are equally lovely and anti-aliased. At first I didn't really think there was visually much difference between the two versions, but the missing bloom effects on the PC version become particularly noticeable in the final 'Legend' stage. The PC version of that stage looks quite muted and washed out in comparison to the PS3 there. I also noticed the Sun is missing on the first stage in the PC version. I'll have to investigate further and see what other stages look much better on the PS3...
Another way in which the PS3 version pips the PC version is the fact it's got working Force feedback as I demonstrated in a previous video:

But, of course, being the stripped down digital version, PS3 Outrun Online Arcade is missing all the Outrun 2 stages, extra cars and music from Coast 2 Coast.
...and neither version contains the bonus unlockable Scud Race and Daytona 2 courses from the original Xbox version of Outrun 2:

A real shame there's never been a definitive version of Outrun 2 with all these things included.
