Ok then.. Now it's time to cover a game that is making news because Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against the Developer: PocketPair. I've seen a fair amount of commercials and advertisements for this still in development and upcoming Action-Adventure, Survival and Monster-Taming game and having seen it drop on PS5 after Sony's State of Play? I knew I had to cover this game.

Going back to a "Release" on the PC and Xbox Series X in January 2024, and PS5 getting this port on September 24rth 2024, Palworld has a basic story of us, after making a character, That we've shipwrecked on a Island, the Palpagos where "Pals" live, The land is controlled by Pal Trainers that belong to various organizations, and with this unforgiving land crawling with 100 different types of Pals, This is no paradise.

Now, firstly, Think of Palworld as a typical Pokemon game in the sense that you can capture Pals by using a "PalSphere" like item you craft and yes there are battles, but thats where Pokemon's look and feel vanishes: Similar to other Crafting games you need to keep yourself fed from starving, build shelter and survive by any means needed. You can make weapons to defend yourself and attack as you must weaken Pals before attempting to capture them in a Palsphere and like in other survival games, weapons will become damaged through use forcing you to think of repair stations or to keep your inventory with a few weapons.

This game, if i'm being honest is downright hysterical but also really a chore to play if you aren't doing Co-Op as you need to constantly scan your surroundings because High level pals will really wreck you if you think you can just smack them til they die, I find its concept creative yes, But I also think that Palworld despite its lawsuit its facing, needs a bit more polish to feel like a survival game that doesn't need training wheels.
