Right then, Let's dive into a game that I've seen in quite a few sales on PSN for the last few months which I find curious as I've known of this shooter since it was announced 4 years ago and was going to be on PS4 but was dropped from that system in favor of the PS5, so thus its time to go over Quantum Error, another given that I was going to tackle for this playlist. This will be the FIRST PS5 exclusive I've tackled for this talk series.

Released by TeamKill Media on November 3rd 2023, Quantum Error is a Third/First Person Horror shooter following Jacob Thomas, A Fire Captain of the Los Angles Fire Department several years after a terrorist incident that killed his brother in Washington. The story itself is extremely disjointed and hopes between different people we meet and various situations we're dropped into as the game plays.

There are a lot of issues with Quantum Error but there are good points and I'll make the best effort to get these all addressed. Firstly, Quantum Error is cinematic based which gets dull tbh, I understand that in today's gaming world, cinematic games with flashy backstories and such are all the rage but this drags on the game needlessly, Controls are absolutely frustrating and movement/gunplay is so clunky and annoying, with the modern FPS feeling of having to iron sight just to hit someone.

Our tools as a Firefighter include a Axe, Jaws of Life such forth which are decent and have good impact, they way they are used though there were points when my Prybar refused to open doors, Weapons are.. ugh, not punchy, I had no feeling like my weapons had any weight nor power to them, ammo placement is very bad, health placement is decent but oh does the issues really start after prologue.

Enemy A.I. is by far the one thing that really hurts Quantum Error: Enemies were appearing out of nowhere, and hitscan damage, Yes, HITSCAN DAMAGE in a Modern FPS game was making every screenshake from getting hit causing serious vertigo. Yet, the visuals aren't bad, the voice acting is pretty good and despite the poor visibility, the locations are nice looking but unfortunately.. Quantum Error? It does too little to make itself stand out.
