This video shows my attempt to create an UGC Roblox item. Made back in around 2021. Apologize in advance for the quality. I may reupload in the future with better quality if I find the source files.
This video shows part of my workflow with Blender to develop a hat and an accessory for Roblox. This is one of my workflows, depending on what I am creating, I change or adapt to a different process.
I had been developing with Roblox Studio [public and private] projects and had created probably more than/around 500 assets for many personal and public projects. I hope I get to share more in the future.
This one is a fail for me, but wanted to share. I was not accepted on the UGC wave 2021, but I wanted to share this video. I hope this video helps anybody out there in the fence of trying UGC out. Especially if you are more talented and skilled and can easily do better than what I did here! sometimes taking that small jump may lead to amazing places! :] - Self-doubt can sometimes be an awful self-enemy.

In my defense, I waited to the last minute to apply so had around less than 12 hours or so to make something [two models minimum] and apply hehe. Still a bad excuse, I know xD. That one was my mistake, I rarely do this. Most of what you see here is pretty much rushed or I was freaking out about the deadline haha. But still gave it a shot because why not. The application was surprisingly long though... but nothing impossible. A lot of people seem to apply so I got the reply during this weeks or so.
Overall it was a fun experience! and a challenge for myself. Will leave this public here for future reference. I am still looking forward to apply in the future when I get better!

PROCESS TO MAKE AN UGC ITEM [FROM MEMORY, SOME STUFF MAY BE WRONG] - Written in 2022
1) I make a concept or you can do an idea, I try to draw it to make it more precise
2) I get into the 3D modeling part, make the model and texture
3) I then bring everything into Roblox Studio
4) Iknosabuk helped me with this part because it requires some tweaks inside studio but I remember I needed to make my ugc item an accessory and some code if I remember well for the character to wear that piece correctly.
5) Then you package that into a .rbxl or was it .rbxm? if I remember well and save it into a .zip
6) Also be sure to either record yourself doing the item or you can do like templates of your progress to show in the application. Max size was around 6mb if I remember well... ?
7) You fill the application for ugc, it closes on April 1, it comes in waves. The application may take around 20 to 30 minutes, it is a little bit lengthy.
8) Also if you have any kind of portfolio, be sure to have a link or stills so you can upload them to the application too. I remember there was a section that needed that.
9) after everything is ready, you submit the application and that is pretty much it. May take some months for their reply. Be sure to make your best effort if you can. I honestly sent some lazy stuff in this wave hehe.
