Path of Exile - Three Very Rare, Underrated Unique Items in Harvest League (trade only)
203Path of Exile has a number of extremely rare unique items.
Like the Badge of the Brotherhood or Headhunter, these items can be very expensive and essentially "powergamer only" when they are in high demand.
However, when their popularity drops, these items can be readily acquired by a semi-casual endgame player. If you are willing to run a hundred maps and use all the good loot drops to fund it, any of these items can be yours. (Disclaimer: this is true at the time of production)
Three ultra-rare but 'off meta' items you might want to consider building around:
The Taming: 0:00
This unique ring adds staggering damage to ailment builds. For attack builds that can ignite, shock and freeze, this powerhouse ring can add as much as 144% increased damage whilst still granting meaningful amounts of resistances.
Did I mention you can wear two and (at time of recording) get change from an exalted orb for the set?
Zerphi's Heart: 6:18
I've talked about this amulet before. It's got a big drawback, but the 20 seconds soul eater buff is amazing, and the 'chaos damage can chill, shock and ignite' has considerable synergy with The Taming. (Note: chill isn't enough to turn on all of the benefits of The Taming, you need to freeze for that).
This item has been tens of thousands of chaos orbs in two previous leagues (Incursion it hit 3 mirrors, Delve it hit 50ex). Now, it's under 1ex.
Aul's Uprising: 13:12
A drop from the 'ultimate boss' of the Delve mines, Aul's Uprising has a variant for each aura.
All the ones 'linked' to auras with 50% mana reservation are good.
Malevolence Uprisings are only two exalts at the moment. While two exalts isn't pocket change, it's a small price to pay for incredible power.
Haste and Hatred Uprisings, however, remain extremely expensive. But Anger and Wrath ones are well under five hundred chaos in trade.
