With a steady production of bricks, it's become easier to grow Boston to that required 1000 population. And with my income I thought it was also possible to support the town so I could build the townwall a lot faster. I did overlook the fact that it would make a big dent in my finances, considering I also had granted some loans earlier.

So as usual the tax bill hit me at the most unwelcome moment; when I was in an auction. Resulting in not being able to buy something I needed and combine that with multiple fleets being under repair and a lack of funds is explained.

It'll take some time to get out of that again, but I've been there before, so I know I can do it. And once Boston has become a full city, there's no need for me to donate money to the town coffers to build a new city wall, as I can do that at a much slower pace. But that's the future, first let's see how the town building is going.
