PC - The Sims 2 - Custom TV Clips Demonstration
A little demonstration about one of the unique features the game has, that later games woefully missed to include: The inclusion and playback of custom videos on your TVs in-game.
In the game folder located in your documents, there is a folder called "Movies" which has two folders with folders for separate categories where you can put your custom videos in. Each custom video has to be an MPEG4-encoded AVI file and can mostly be 512X512 and 30 fps at max, despite what some sources say otherwise about videos being 128X128 and 15 fps. This feature also allows you to replace any game clips, which I'll be showing and explaining to you in another video.
The video shown on the TV is "Topless Gun", A TV show from the game My Summer Car.
And no, this recording was not from the broken mess that is the so-called "Legacy Edition". This footage was recorded directly from the physical copies that I have of the game and its 8 expansion packs.
Speaking of the Legacy Edition, has anyone found out that this feature still exists in the Legacy Edition? I would love to hear if you are still able to include clips like this in the Legacy Edition, just as you once did in the original version.
