Hello!
Seeing as today we announced the PGL Quake Champions Open, our first ever Quake event, we thought it might be a good time to make an introduction.
PGL Esports is a Romanian esports organizer and broadcaster, funded in 2002 and active on the international scene since 2011. Check out our website for more information about who we are and what we do.
Long story short, we’ve been preparing our foray into the Quake universe for some time now and we are happy to finally be able to talk about it and to get some feedback on it. One of our guiding principles in our modus operandi is to involve the community as much as possible.
If you have any questions, comments, recommendations for how we can make this event great, if you yourself have any suggestions what a Quake event SHOULD look like or behave like, please leave a comment to this thread.
General tournament information
On October 5-7, 2018, Quake Champions duelists from around the world will battle for their share of a $50,000 prize pool, live from the PGL Studios in Bucharest.
PGL Quake Champions Open is sponsored by Bethesda Software.

Venue: The LAN event will be hosted without an audience in the PGL Studios, located in Bucharest, Romania.

Game Mode - Duel. All players will be seeded into the double elimination bracket based on past performance in online and offline competitions.
Day 1 – Double Elimination Bracket (Best of 3 Maps) Top 16 Players advance to Day 2
