This is the story of a man whose drive through a wintery countryside could not have gone more poorly. Due to a wrong turn along the way, he finds himself following a seemingly never-ending road for hours and hours, ultimately becoming lost and running out of gas on top of it all. Thusly stranded and left without a choice, he sets out on foot in order to find shelter from the cold - and as luck would have it, a secluded manor soon comes into view, providing him that faint glimmer of hope. However, no one could have known at the time, no one could have predicted it - the dark history buried beneath which would soon awaken to new life.

"Phobia 1.5", originally intended as the second installment of an unfinished trilogy of short indie horror games, was created and released back in 2014 by Joonas Yliniemi, also known as Jonez Games. Although his first game did not garner much positive attention due to a lack of polish and subsequent bugs, "1.5" would soon manage to rise above said initial failure, improving upon its predecessor's flaws in nearly every way. Thus, it became a popular title among content creators and is remembered fondly by the community to this day. Above all, "Phobia 1.5" understands how to utilise basic fears and associated tropes in order to achieve maximum results, such which are still effective and scary in present times. Be it the foreboding atmosphere, the eerie ambiance or the slow buildup towards an inevitable outbreak of terror, "1.5" seeks to deliver a worthwhile experience, even all these years later. Personally, I would even feel tempted to call it the original "Stay Out of the House" - you know, before that particular game was a proper thing. Well, if there is one lesson to be taken away from it all, just make sure to never enter a secluded structure which is sitting in the middle of nowhere, for death is usually imminent.
