In Pokémon Yellow's Pikachu's Beach minigame, bonus or 'rad points' are granted based on the number of turns in a successful landing. In the game code, there is a hidden 750 bonus, even though this doesn't seem possible to achieve in normal gameplay, as it isn't granted after falling regardless of the number of turns and whether a backwards turn was made. This can be seen using the GameShark code 0104D9C5. The bonuses shown are actually pictures with their value and image defined by the code.

There are only a few valid bonuses the game can grant in this minigame, they include the following (index number to replace in 01XXD9C5 indicated in brackets):

0x turns: No bonus (00)
1x turn: 50 pts. (01)
2x turns : 150 pts. (02)
2x turns*: 180 pts. (05)
3x turns: 350 pts. (03)
3x turns*: 500 pts. (06)
Unused/Doesn't depend on turns: 750 pts. (04)

An asterisk means that the first or last turn is in the opposite direction to the other.

The Pikachu's Beach minigame is accessible when entering a house south of Fuschia City which never existed in the original Red/Blue and talking to the 'Dude' inside, provided that one of your Pokémon is a (stable) Pikachu knowing the move Surf. A surfing Pikachu is obtainable legitimately via Pokémon Stadium.
