Q: Didn’t you upload day 4 already?
A: Yes, but I realized I could bring yellows with me to Wistful Wild while still keeping it a 102 pikmin run which makes Wistful Wild way easier, so I redid the day with a different route to get yellows.

Q: Why are you using bitter spray on spicy pikmin?
A: It resets their spicy timer back to 40 seconds.

Q: How do you have bitter spray if it’s not on the d pad?
A: I did a glitch called spray swap to get bitters in White Flower Garden 5 on day 2.

Q: Why are you watching skippable cutscenes?
A: Because pikmin that are completing tasks still work on them during those cutscenes without the day timer advancing.

Q: Why did you use spicy sprays in Submerged Castle if there’s no time limit in caves?
A: There’s no hard limit, but the waterwraith appears after 5 minutes on any sublevel making things harder, so I want to finish each sublevel before then.

Q: Why aren’t you using bulbmin?
A: It’s a 102 pikmin run, and although I know the game doesn’t count them, it still feels better to me to not use them.

Q: How are you getting so many spray drops?
A: A lot of resetting for good luck.

Q: How are pikmin carrying you up walls?
A: Due to an oversight in the pathing code, pikmin always bring you to the nearest waypoint first before carrying you to an onion regardless of hazards or verticality.

Q: Why are there 5 yellows in the onion if you haven’t unlocked them yet by whistling the wild ones on the tree?
A: In order to prevent you from bringing any non-blue pikmin into Submerged Castle, the game is hardcoded to put any non-blue pikmin on the field into their onion when you enter. This included the 5 wild yellows. When I exit the game sees that I haven’t unlocked yellows yet so it puts 5 more wild yellows on the tree.

Q: Why doesn’t whistling the onion yellows give the unlock cutscene?
A: Because they aren’t wild yellows. The only 2 ways of getting the unlock cutscene are to whistle wild yellows or to get a snitchbug to plant a yellow and pluck it.

Q: What’s with that all black cutscene after plucking the yellow in Citadel of Spiders?
A: That’s the yellow unlock cutscene. The camera is looking where it thinks the yellow is which is under the floor. The yellow actually gets grabbed by a snitchbug though before the cutscene starts which is why there’s no pikmin in the cutscene. I needed to do this because during the cutscene the pikmin normally jumps down from the tree, but when plucked from the ground that decrease in height would make it clip underground and die.

Q: Why did the blue throw the purples up to the gherkin gate?
A: Idk, probably has to do with waypoints or something though.

Q: How did you teleport from the scales to the ship?
A: When a captain falls out of bounds, it respawns them in the air in front of the ship and preserves their momentum. By running forward out of bounds, the momentum carries you past the ship onto the ledge, skipping the need to break the nearby black water gate.

Q: Why did you only spicy the blues and not the whites?
A: Spicy pikmin drown twice as fast, so I would have had to wait for the 40 second spicy timer to run out before getting the whites through the water.
