In this somewhat dark and straight-forward stage, there is a bunch of Dweevils and Hidden treasure underground. The Dweevils are inside of small tunnel-like corners and hard to spot in the dark areas. But you need to get rid of them or else whatever you dig up will get mounted on their heads.
There there's The Key. A Ranging Long Legs holds this, and it's got a ton of life. So the strategy here was for me (Olimar) to use about 6 Pikmin on it while Louie (Danzo) goes and clears everything else.
The six Pikmin is very easy to manage, and you can pretty much keep them on the boss 90% of the time. The constant chip damage over a long period of time becomes a huge time saver.
But here is the problem with my strategy: No Spays?!
If I had four more Pikmin, and we used a spray before disbanding, we could have gotten everything done so much faster. Only at the end did Player 2 remind me that we got sprays... a huge oversight that's very unfortunate..
What's worse is that we missed a Dweevil, which you could even HEAR as we waited for the Key to come back. I don't know why I didn't think to do anything about it, but It's not a humongous deal. Just some points we missed out on.
