Pikmin - Day 07 - Sagittarius
We're back in Pikmin world today. Super Mario RPG is off to a fun start, but we also have to check in on Olimar every now and then, to make sure he's still on schedule. Last time, we picked up the second and last part located at the 'Impact Site'.
We're doing so well, that we got there too early for any of the bosses to show up! We're at least a day ahead of schedule. But unfortunately, I'll have to use it here, in order to set the table for finishing off the 'Forest of Hope'.
Let's a-go!
DAY 07 - SAGITTARIUS
The Sagittarius itself is fairly quick and easy to get to. There are two paths from your campsite, one is between the red and yellow Onions. Choose that one and take about 30 Blue Pikmin with you. Since we have Blue Pikmin now, we can check out the watery areas.
If you head straight out this exit, you should see what looks like a log. As you approach, you'll see Male and Female Sheargrubs emerge. These can hurt and kill you, so you will need to attack them. I was able to swarm them with my Blue Pikmin and they emerged unscathed, thankfully. Have your Pikmin swarm the log to begin building
Sheargrubs will take apart your bridges, so make sure it's all clear before you begin. Now, I return to the Blue Onion and grab another 30 more. We'll go directly into the water and head for the little reachable ledge on the far side. There are some tadpole-like creatures called 'Wolpoles' scattered throughout the water. They're completely harmless.
Once you're standing on the ledge, you can throw your Blue Pikmin at the log here, to have them start on a second bridge. This will take a while, so you can step away for now. As you could probably tell while you were on the ledge, the SAGITTARIUS is the green object you see here.
Once both bridges are built, it should be pretty easy to get the Sagittarius back to your ship. There are two remaining parts in this area: the Geiger Counter and the Radiation Canopy. However, both will require you to fight a couple tough enemies. So the rest of the day is spent preparing to get the Geiger Counter in the next video on Day 08.
Something that really saves time is having 10 Blue Pikmin move the box that blocks the entrance to the area with the Geiger Counter. Your Pikmin will be carrying it through this area, so it's a good idea to clear the Bulborgs that are in the way. Since we're coming back the next day, they shouldn't respawn.
Ideally, I wanted to destroy some of the remaining gates that lead to where the Radiation Canopy is located. However, I didn't have enough time. Don't worry, we still picked up a part today. So at worst, we're treading water while still being a day ahead. We should finish everything by Day 21, a whole week early.
Welp, it's time to take a break. Join us next time for 'Day 08 - Geiger Counter'.
