Moving along... Last time, we explored the 'Bad Ending'. It certainly was not fun setting up Olimar to fail like that. I didn't enjoy it one bit. But we got there and saw the horrible fate that awaited Olimar for failing to get at least the minimum 25 required Ship Parts.

Today we'll explore the second possible ending, the 'Good' ending.

PIKMIN - GOOD ENDING

Before we get started, I'd like to point out that while this is the 'good' ending, there is still another ending to explore: the 'best' ending. So by now means is this as good as it gets for our friend Olimar. Having said that, let's explore the good ending.

In order to get the 'Good' ending, you must collect at least the minimum 25 required Ship Parts. The optional ship parts should not come as that big of a surprise, as they all provide some sort of non-essential function.

They are: Massage Machine, Nova Blaster, Secret Safe, Space Float and UV Lamp. If you're aiming for the Good ending, don't sweat skipping these.

So just like the 'Bad' ending, it starts with curious music as Olimar boards the ship. The Pikmin watch as the Dolphin takes off, but unlike before... this time Olimar is successful! There are a few short scenes of the Dolphin flying through space, then you're given an overview of how you did.

After saving, you're treated to the game's end credits, which are projected onto the Pikmin planet, transitioning in various scenes from the game. Followed by a colorful, flowery 'The End' with Olimar and the three Pikmin playfully depicted.
