Pikmin - Ending #3 - Best Ending
0This is IT. After this, there's really no more content for us to explore when it comes to the first 'Pikmin'. This video explores the 'best' ending, which is achieved by collecting all 30 Ship Parts: the 25 mandatory and 5 optional parts.
If you watched our playthrough of Pikmin, this is the same ending you see after we beat the final boss and collect the 'Secret Safe'. Let's watch!
ENDING #3 - BEST ENDING
This ending starts off and stays more cheerful from the very beginning. Olimar collected all 30 Ship Parts, so his ship is pretty much as good as new. He gives a celebatory victory leap and takes a moment to marvel at his achievement.
This time, as he boards, there is a line of Pikmin right there with him to say goodbye. As he looks back, the Pikmin appear to wave at him. He waves back and they repeat the same gesture. Olimar sighs as the Pikmin remain as mysterious as ever. He boards.
As it takes off, there is the same moment of tension as before. Will it be successful? Of course it is, you have all 30 Ship Parts, so it flies very smoothly and looks to be operating properly. This time, the Pikmin do not stay to watch your rocket.
Instead, a Yellow Pikmin spots a Bulborg in the distance and calls his fellow Pikmins to action. They attack the Bulborg in the same manner that Olimar used them: attacking from the back and swarming enemies with large numbers. It appears Olimar is not the only one who benefited from this adventure.
As Olimar's ship leaves the planet behind him, you can see several Onions of various undiscovered colors also rising from the planet. It appears the Pikmin are now thriving and may become the dominant species of the planet. Olimar triumphantly flies through space and takes one last look at the planet before leaving it behind for good.
You're now given an overview of how you did. Then you're treated to the game's end credits projected onto the image of Pikmin Planet. Various scenes from the game are spliced into the sequence.
Then unique to this ending is a slideshow, showing you all the various creatures you encountered in alphabetical order. And at the very end, the 'The End' endtitle is modified to include 'Happy' to indicate this is 'The Happy End'. The best ending.
