Pizza Tower: Part 16: Vs. The Noise (Boss 3)
The third of Pizzaface's top henchman is probably his most notorious. Ironically, the little gremlim himself hates pizza and has a lot of crafty tricks up his sleeve to get rid of it.
This parody of Domino's Noid will use all sorts of attacks on you, but first... You can quickly try to hit him AS SOON AS THE FIGHT STARTS!
----------
The Noise will either use a jet pack to fly and then try to bounce at you, rain bombs on you from above and then go for a Ground Pound, jump on you with his pogo stick (which may also release bombs), or try to run you down with his skateboard.
After each attack, the Noise will flash white and leave his body open. He'll either shine a huge smile at you, shake his ass, rub it if he tried a Ground Pound, or even... FLIP YOU OFF!
But when you hit him, watch how viscerally he freaks out as he careens towards the wall.
----------
You'll know the second phase of this fight starts when Noise's massive balloon of himself get REALLY close to the screen. This is when all of his attacks become more dangerous:
- After his pogo stick, he smashes the ground with a hammer that unleashes a violent shockwave.
- When he finishes skateboarding, he flings the skateboard right at Peppino. It doesn't hurt, but being forced away by it does keep you from hitting The Noise for a turn.
- After his jet pack attack finishes, he explodes. Don't be too close to him when he does.
- Most dastardly of these is after he Ground Pounds after a bomb assault. You might end up with a fake that explodes when Peppino gets too close to it. Be very careful with this if you're trying to get a better score.
----------
Bring The Noise down to his last hit point in this second phase, and the rest of the fight plays itself out.
After another cartoony swashbuckling, The Noise suddenly gets a bigger gun, ready to blow Peppino's brains out with it. As Peppino reasonably freaks out...
...The Noise is suddenly dragged offscreen, and finished off... by his girlfriend: Noisette. Looks like she was doing Peppino a good favor.
I was pretty sloppy in this fight, but I promise I will make it up later when I repeat this boss for a P-Rank.
----------
I then move on to the 4th floor of the Pizza Tower: The Slum.
All of the Slum levels here seem to have a focus on living in a city and the things that are either in it or around it.
Among other things, this floor is home to a living snot bag called Snotty. Unfortunately, I killed him, but there's a legitimate way you can trick the game's code to bring him back...
You'll find The Noise here, too. Not only will he be beaten and bruised, but he also apparently smokes cigarettes. Quite a different guy from the unhinged maniac you just saw a minute ago, isn't he? Maybe being The Noise is just a part time job for him...
There's a secret room on this stinky floor that will take you into Noisette's cafe. She seems to be the absolute nicest character in this game, as she's the only resident of the Pizza Tower that doesn't want to hurt or kill Peppino. Can't say the same for The Vigilante that she's serving, though...
But don't be too fooled. Nothing can really scare the Noise except *HER*.
Another secret room here isn't as flattering, but besides its funny car and Mr. Sticks hiding in a trash can, its background is the original version of that of the next level I'm gonna be going through in the next part.
Lastly, furthering their friendship, Gustavo and Brick are busy playing cards.
