Welcome to GamerU's tips and tricks for Part 2 of the new world available for Plants vs. Zombies 2: Lost City! This video introduces a new zombie enemy found in Part 2, The Turquoise Skull Zombie!
This professor-looking dude carries around a mystical turquoise skull, no, not a crystal skull, but a turquoise one. Whatever skull he has, it's nothing to sneeze at. He can use it to steal sun straight from the air, just like the Ra Zombie from the Ancient Egypt levels. The difference is unlike with the Ra Zombie, you CAN'T get that sun back after you kill him, it's gone for good.
That's bad, but worse is his follow-up attack after his sun-steal move. After he finishes his sun-steal move, he will fire a laser that will incinerate up to four plants ahead of him. He does NOT need to succeed in stealing any sun to use his laser attack; even if you keep him from stealing any sun, he will just fire the laser anyway, basically making it a combo attack. Even though his laser is not powerful enough to kill full-health Tall-nuts, it will shoot through them anyway to kill even plants hiding behind them. When they approach any plant, you can expect them to spam their sun-steal/laser combo attack over and over, destroying your forces.
So what's good at stopping them?
- Spikerock. The laser attack will pass harmlessly over low-to-ground plants like Iceberg Lettuce and Spikerock. This makes them unable to deal with Spikerock, and so you can slap some under their feet and watch them get shredded .
- Lava Guava is another good choice as you can drop one on them while they are performing the sun-steal move.
- Winter Melons are also a good choice if you can get them set up in time. At any rate.
Good luck. That's all for now, stay tuned to GamerU for more info on Plants vs. Zombies 2: Lost City - Part 2.
