Welcome to GamerU's tips and tricks for Best Fiends!

Let's talk about the attacks of those darn slugs. You see, the evil slugs have powers of their own you need to look out for. Some slugs will be able to use an attack every other turn, or even after any turn.

The most common attack is the tooth toss. They will spit out one of their own teeth, where it will land on the board as a useless piece that cannot be matched with anything. You can destroy these in one shot with a simple nearby combo, and they give you meteor mites in return. These are normally not too bad as long as you destroy the teeth eventually, and can be used for some minor meteor mite farming, however, on levels with tight spaces, or when the slug gets smart and uses it to block your combo-ing, they can be a real problem. And later level slugs will throw the teeth out every turn, making them a major headache.

Another, more deadly attack is the gunk spitters. They can throw gunk on some pieces, which will trap them just like normal gunk does. Gunked pieces can't move at all, even by gravity, and must be destroyed with combos. Most irritating is that these guys tend to target your bombs and connector blocks, even Black Bombs. You may want to save up a big bomb/combo setup just for these guys so you can destroy them quickly, before they gunk up everything, and be sure to keep their gunk in check whenever possible.

The most irritating slug power though is color immunity. A slug may have a colored shield over it, like red or blue, making it totally immune to any attack from that color. Worse yet, the game likes to cheat about with these slugs by filling the board with matching colors that will be useless against it. One thing you can do is go ahead and make a minor combo with the immune color; it will normally force the game to stop sending that color and send other ones instead. This is better rather than struggling with multiple weak combos, and you can use the spammed colors for a big combo on the next slug. Also try to save bombs and combos for these guys as well.

Hang tough against those slugs guys, and stay tuned to GamerU for more Best Fiends tips and tricks.
